I know with Bell they route through Chicago so it now routes through Cloudflares Chicago servers adding a some latency. I was previously with Rogers and they exchange through Toronto so it connected directly to Cloudflares Toronto server. I've been using 1.1.1.1 for my DNS server since it launched.
